afaerytale

"A Faerytale is Ron Cordes' account of real life encounters with the beings of Faery - delicate winged creatures who have a passion for life, a penchant for practical jokes, and a mission: to remind humankind that they share the earth with beings who are in danger of being exterminated by mankind's abuse of mother earth. Faery book review

A Faery Tale. By Ron Cordes. 2007. Millenial Mind Publishing, Salt Lake
City. 231 pages.

I just finished reading this new book which someone recommended to me.
I in turn will recommend it. This is a very personal book. It doesn't
draw on the information of other books or authors. It is all about the
author's personal journey with the faeries. As a long-time student of
fairy/faery the book fits into my current understandings and adds some
new information. Ron's faery friends are what I term nature fairies.
Fairies who work with nature. They include very small beings as well as
larger.
Ron gives the littlest ones the name of plimtens. His main faery
friends
are several inches in height (but very intelligent). The largest he
mentions are what he terms elves at 12 inches in height. Ron's
experiences have many correlations with Daphne Charters' works. For
instance that there are nature fairies and house fairies.

Ron gives his personal life history in the first part of the book.
Most
of the book is devoted to his gradually deepening relationship with
faeries. At the start he becomes aware of shadowy figures and orbs
(which he terms bubbles). Gradually he is able to see more and more and
after awhile able to establish communication. At first objects swing
side-to-side or front-to-back for yes no answers. Eventually he is
able
to achieve telepathic communication which becomes quite good by the end
of the book. Not unsurprisingly, the fairies exhort humans to stop
their
war on nature and start to work with them to protect and repair the
earth instead of destroy. In fact they say that there is little time
to
mend our ways or humans will be extinct. They also say that our
destruction is playing havoc in the fairy realms as well.

Perhaps the message that most stood out for me in this book is the
mention by Ron's fairy friends that some fairies are wanting to spend
time within human bodies to experience things through our eyes and
improve fairy-human relations. This is accomplished best with
conscious
agreement and participation by the human. Fairies are looking for
willing humans to do this work. Are you one of them? If you are
interested you should read this book to see how it works for Ron
Cordes.

For people who are well informed about fairies then the first part of
the book may be a slow read. The books particular value lies in that it
details how a beginner to the fairy realm can cultivate and gradually
deepen a relationship. Ron Cordes experience is a nice addition to our
fairy knowledge.

Thanks, Ron & Karen
